Everywhere I Go, There I Am

“Nobody is superior; Nobody is inferior,

But nobody is equal either. People are

Simply unique, incomparable.

You are You,

I am I.”

– OSHO

Everyone in the world is born with a unique personality. Nobody is inferior or superior. It does not matter how much you try and want to be different; you cannot deny your true self. There is just getting away from yourself. Wherever you will go and whatever you will do, you will be you.

We look for someone with an admiring personality in an attempt to change ourselves. We follow them and try to deny ourselves but still, in the end, you are you! What is depriving yourself? Why do we want to be someone else? Why don’t we accept ourselves?

Denying Yourself

Denying yourself means to seek good in others before looking out for yourself. You sacrifice your time and energy to be like someone else. You don’t allow yourself to enjoy your life and little happy moments according to your own will. Why can’t you be the person who others will want to follow?

In other words, denying yourself means to kill yourself alive. Ignoring yourself is cruel.

Want To Be Someone Else

Wanting to be someone else means a lack of confidence in yourself. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws, so why do you want to be someone else? It is pointless to wish for something impossible. Simply, it means you are bringing lifetime frustration into your life. Instead of wishing for something impossible, the optimal thing you should desire is to become the best version of yourself. Try to become better than yesterday!

Why Is It Important To Accept Yourself?

Shaming and embarrassing ourselves for what we do or what we feel does not help us change those feelings or behaviors but instead reinforces our feelings of incompetence. You can’t feel happy and worthy if you spend your time criticizing yourself.

It is essential to accept yourself because, by self-acceptance, you will realize your abilities and ease the feelings of guilt and unhappiness. It allows you to understand better yourself, your character, your desires, your talent, your worth. If you are having a hard time, keep moving because nothing is permanent in this world.

If you will not accept yourself, then who will? Who do you expect to get you if you will not?

Final Thoughts

You are one in seven billion. No one can replace you. You are unique and special in your way. Instead of ultimately becoming another person, try to do your best. Accepting yourself allows you to discover a whole new world for yourself. You need to ignite the light in you and let it shine. In the end, you will be you, and I will be I.

“Do you ever feel already buried deep?

Six feet under screams, but no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there’s still a chance for you

‘Cause, there’s a spark in you?”

– Katy Perry
